North York Rookies Win London Southwest....Again!
For the third straight year, the North York Blues Senior AAA rookie ball team are the champions of the Southwest London Tournament. This year the blues defeated Richmond Hill 15-5, Hamilton 12-1
and East York 11-6 in the round robin. In the semi final they scooped Waterloo 12-4 and in the final crunched Markham 12-7.

York Mosquito Selects WIN East York Tournament
The North York Mosquito Selects won the 2nd Annual East Toronto Friendship tournament,
which finished the weekend of June 11-13 after being delayed by rain.
North York went 3-1 in the round robin, losing a tight
ballgame to host East Toronto 7-6. They then met again in the final where the Blues won 16-5.

I would like to congratulate North York Baseball’s own Marcus Knecht, being select in the 2010 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. Also Special thanks to Steve Davis. When Marcus was asked about playing youth baseball in Canada, one of the first names and coaches he gives thanks to is our very own Steve Davis!
He still remembers Steve Davis instructing form the dugout “Every throw counts…”

North York Pee Wee AAA Win in Vaughan
The North York AAA Peewee won the Vaughan
Peewee tournament this past weekend of June 4-6. The Peewee team went 6-0 in the tournament beating a tough New Era team 10-0 in the
tournament. Congratulations to the North York AAA Peewees. This is the 2nd tournament final in as many tournaments for the Peewee
team. They lost in the Mississauga Southwest tournament to a tough Mississauga North team in that final.
The North York Blues Senior Rookie team are the Champions of the 5th Annual Cardinal Tournament in St. Thomas Ontario May 28-30.
North York swept the tournament defeating North London, Barrie and Cambridge in the round robin. The Blues came back from an 8-0 deficit to defeat Newmarket11-7 in the semi final and squeezed out a 7-5 victory against Niagara Falls in the final game.
North York Bantam AA Win South West London Tournament

Hey Everyone,
I am very proud to announce that this past weekend the 2010 North York Minor Bantam Tier #2 team won the 2010 South West London Minor
Bantam Tournament.
Not only did the team win the tournament, I am extremely proud the let everyone know our team acted with respect
and class so much that I have received many comments and emails from other coaches and the tournament organizers about how well our
team play and was so respectful and a pleasure to play against.
Special thanks goes out to all the coaches that help, this past weekend.
