WHAT IS SELECT?

Select baseball is a program for North York Baseball house league players to get additional competitive coaching, practice and game experience. North York select teams play in the Toronto Baseball Association (TBA) east division. Games are held on Sunday evenings versus teams such as North Toronto, East Toronto, Birchmount, Agincourt/Wexford, East York and West Hill.

The 10-12 game schedule DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY LONG WEEKENDS. There are several select tournaments that teams may enter. Select baseball is a competitive baseball program and the expectation is that players who are chosen for the team will attend and play in most of the games and practices throughout the spring and summer.  In addition to one house league and one select game a week there are additional field and batting practices.

All select teams will compete for the TBA East Championship held in mid August. The winner has the option to compete for the Select Ontario Championship on Labour Day weekend.

Additional fees apply (this covers the cost of uniforms, tournaments, umpire fees and any necessary team equipment for the entire season).
