SUMMER HOLIDAYS: During registration families will be asked to indicate to the best of their ability the number of weeks they anticipate the player will miss games during the summer due to holiday plans. If possible, please indicate whether games will be missed in July or August.

IMPORTANT: If your child missed more than half of last year's games, your registration will not be accepted and any refund will have an admin fee assessed. Instead please contact the registrar if you want your child to play.

If you expect your child to miss more than 3 games during the summer, please do not register for NYBA house league.

Parents who want to register their players for spring baseball (i.e. just until June) may want to check organized camps. Click here for list.

PLAYING SEASON: The regular playing season for all divisions begins the second week of May 2026 and will end the week of August 24, 2026.

GAMES & PRACTICES: Each team plays one game per week at Bond Park in North York.

From time-to-time, coaches in Rookie Ball to Bantam may want to add an extra weekend practice using available diamond time.

PLAYERS BORN IN 2021: The NYBA T-Ball program is for players born in 2019 & 2020. There are a few spots for underage players. If you are interested please reach out to Paul Chamberlain, Registrar.

Otherwise, we recommend that parents consider the courses and workshops offered by True North Sports Camps. TNSC offers weekly courses, March break camps and summer camp at Bond Park.

UNIFORMS: As part of the registration fee, NYBA provides hats, pants and team jerseys - bats and catcher's equipment are part of the team's equipment. Players are required to have their own gloves. For the younger children we strongly recommend that parents not invest a lot of money in a beginner's glove.

Batting helmets are required for all children. Parents will have the option of using a helmet they may already own or purchasing a new one through North York Baseball at a cost of $35 (T-Ball-PeeWee) $55 (Bantam) which is what we are charged by our supplier.

Baseball equipment can be purchased through Eagle Beaver Sports or Home Run Sports, who are suppliers for uniforms and equipment

FEES: The 2026 fee schedule will be confirmed mid-November. 2025 Fees ranged from $180 for T-Ball to $340 for Bantam.

Fees do not include a batting helmet or glove, both required equipment. Batting helmets can be purchased through NYBA during registration.

NYBA offers a sibling discount which is automatically calculated during registration: 2 players - $50 discount on total fees; 3+ players - $150 discount on total fees.

NYBA REFUND POLICY: Any request for cancellation of registration prior to the season start and before an age division is full will be honoured minus an administration fee ($10 for T-ball; $20 for other age divisions).

At the discretion of the North York Baseball registrar a refund will not be issued for the following reasons:

      • the season has started
      • an age division is full and any children on a wait list are no longer available to fill the vacancy.

All refund requests should be direct to Paul Chamberlain pchamp@sympatico.ca.

GIRLS BASEBALL: In an effort to 'even the playing field' North York Baseball is encouraging girls aged 6 to 16 to register for this year's House League program. In addition to their regular games there will be skills clinics scheduled during the season to help girls improve their skills. All girls welcome. No additional sign-up required.

Parents interested in volunteering for the Girl's Program can do so when they register their players.

PARENT VOLUNTEERS: North York Baseball Association is always looking for parent volunteers for coaching positions. Parents can sign-up to volunteer during registration.

North York Baseball cannot run the House League program without enough coaches. Senior high school students are eligible to coach and can receive credit for volunteer hours. Please volunteer.

We look forward to having your family become part of the North York Baseball Association!

Play Ball!
