NYBA 13UAAA Win Nationals | Ready for TBAs
Four years ago, the NYBA AAA Blues (2011) set a goal to compete at the highest level.
Under the guidance and direction of Head Coach Mike Tilson and with hard work, resilience and teamwork, this group of young players have realized their dream by qualifying for the National Championships, last weekend.
Our Blues battled hard, securing wins in the first two games with a 7-4 victory over the Burlington Bulls and a strong 12-6 win against East York.
After a close 10-9 loss to the Milton Mets, the Blues bounced back, beating the Brampton Royals 9-4 and dominating Milton Mets 18-4 in a powerful rematch.
A lucky bye draw over Niagara sent us straight to the finals, where the team fought fiercely but fell 6-1 to Whitby in a game closer than the score suggests.
Thanks to our dedication and teamwork, the Blues have qualified for the Nationals to represent Ontario happening August 20-24! Get ready to cheer them on as they take on the best.
This weekend, August 6-8, the 13UAAA hopes to repeat their 2024 win of the Toronto Baseball Championships!
Good luck to all players and the wonderful coaching staff!
