The North York Blues’ 8U AAA team continued their impressive season turnaround in their final home game, securing a victory against East York, a team with the best regular season record.

In a unique gesture, the Blues paid tribute to their longtime coach, Steve Davis (pictured here third from left), who has been associated with the organization for more than 25 years. Instead of their usual walk-up songs, the team chose to play 70’s classic songs to honor Coach Steve.

The North York Blues’ season had experienced a remarkable turnaround. They had a difficult start, losing their first 12 games and allowing an average of 22 runs per game. However, in their last 12 games, the team has improved significantly, losing only 3 times, and reducing the opposing teams’ scoring to just 8 runs per game.

This transformation underscored the players’ and coaches’ dedication to improvement and their collective effort to enhance their performance on the field.

North York Baseball salutes the hard work of the 8UAAA players and thanks the coaching staff, volunteers and parents for their hard work and dedication this season!
