The NYBA 22U Junior team qualified for the OBA Eliminations, winning three straight games in the Qualifier Round, last weekend (June 28, 29).

Complete games pitched by:
  • Sam Puttock (3-1 over Royal York),
  • Jordan Miller (2-1 over Kitchener, with Jordan also hitting the tie-breaking walk-off home run in the bottom of the 7th),
  • Hayden Simon (9-5 over Brantford).

The team is pictured here along with bat-boy Kyler Lekavy who is from Kitchener.

Jen, Kyler’s Mum told Coach Paul Ludzki that Kyler was one happy boy Saturday night. The 22U Blues recruited him as bat-boy and showered him with kindness and generosty. Jen said that Kyler really felt like one of the team.

According to Coach Paul, it was bat-boy Kyler who helped them clinch the final game.
Congratulations to the 22U Blues Team!
