Blake Knights-Davis wins NYBA Blue Jays Academy Event
12-year old Blake Knights-Davis won the Blue Jays Academy Pitch, Hit & Run Event held at Bond Park on June 14th. With 1,160 points, Blake was first in the 11/12 age division and first overall amongst 90 players who attended the event.
Blake now moves to the Team Championships with a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to the finals, which will take place during the MLB World Series.
Blake plays on the NYBA 12/13U Select team.
Blake stands 5’10’ and LOVES baseball. He bats right, plays catcher, first or third base and pitches. He has hit 2 home runs this season, one at home at Bond Park and the other away at Westhill. He loves the thrill of throwing out baserunners and always works hard to improve his game.
Blake’s favorite sport is baseball but he also plays volleyball and tennis. He pitches for his school’s SloPitch finishing as finalists in 2025.
Congratulations Blake! Best of luck in the team championships and keep us posted.
