The NYBA 11UAAA team spent an August weekend in Windsor for a series of games against the Riverside Royals and the Windsor Stars coupled with some great extra baseball activities. The team travelled together on the same bus. While players bonded, parents took the time to relax.

Friday afternoon they crossed the border to visit Comerica Park for a Detroit Tigers game. Some highlights from the game: an organized meet and greet with Riley Green (Detroit’s rising star), catching balls tossed to us pre-game from Ji man Choi, being caught on the big screen and catching a HR ball in the outfield stands.

Weekend games played with Windsor and Riverside were great opportunities to prepare for the TBAs with teams outside of our loop

Overall it was an amazing weekend that will definitely be remembered for years!

Special shout out to the 11UAAA parents, coaches and sponsors (Magna International and DealIQ) for making this experience possible.

North York Baseball Association has been providing House League and Rep/Select levels of play for boys and girls 6-18. Games are played at Bond Park in North York. NYBA is celebrating 50 years of serving the community!
