The NYBA 12UA team had an experience of a lifetime, when – thanks to one of the player’s Dads – they secured a reserved box and VIP passes for the Blue Jays vs Arizona Diamondbacks game, the weekend of July 15.

The team and coaches were invited onto the field for batting practice. They were able to watch both the Blue Jays and Diamondbacks practice, after which there was a meet-and-greet, where the 12UA team secured autographs and practice balls!

The team met, Bo Bichette [shortstop],  Alex Manoah [pitcher], catchers, Alejandro Kirk and Danny Jansen. They also met Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (first baseman) and Whit Merrifield (second baseman). The highlight was when they saw former Blue Jay and now Diamondback outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. in batting experience.

After the on-field experience, the 12UA team was escorted to their box where there was first-class seating and an unlimited supply of pizza, hot dogs, wings, veggies, drinks and ice cream!

While watching the game, they noticed  2023 Diamondbacks draftee, 17 year old Arjun Nimmala. He joined the 12UA box, signed some balls and took a number of selfies!

It was a wonderful day for the 12UA team, thanks to the wonderful Dad who made this happen for the team!

Special shout out to the coaching staff and all of the parents who support continue to support the team through-out the year!
